Professional recognitions

Australian

Accreditation by the Australian Psychological Society (Monash psychology program).

Certified chemist status with the Royal Australian Chemical Institute (for students who complete an approved program in chemistry).

Graduate membership of the Australian Institute of Physics (for students who complete an approved major sequence in physics, plus required units in mathematics).

Entry requirements

Minimum entrance requirements

Equivalent Australian Year 12.

VCE prerequisites

Units 3 and 4-a study score of at least 35 in English (ESL) or 30 in any other English, and a study score of at least 30 in mathematical methods (CAS) and in two of biology, chemistry, geography, physics or specialist mathematics.

International Baccalaureate subject prerequisites

  • A score of at least 5 in English SL or 4 in English HL or 6 in English B SL or 5 in English B HL, and
  • A score of at least 5 in mathematics SL or 4 in mathematics HL and
  • Two of the following: a score of at least 5 in biology SL, chemistry SL, geography SL, physics SL, further maths SL or a score of 4 in biology HL, chemistry HL, geography HL or physics HL
