For those seeking a career in the banking and finance industry focusing on legal aspects of the sector, this double degree is ideal. You will complete major and minor sequences in banking and finance by studying units such as investments and portfolio management, money and capital markets and treasury management. As part of the degree, you can also choose law related elective units which complement your business studies such as Australian banking law, advanced taxation law, regulation of financial products and markets and shareholders' rights and remedies. The Monash commitment to providing double-degree options means students can graduate with both a Bachelor of Business (Banking and Finance) and a Bachelor of Laws while completing only one extra year of study.
This double degree is ideal for students seeking a career focusing on legal aspects of the banking and finance industry. Graduates may also work in commerce, e-law, copyright law, investments management, merchant banking, money market operations and stock broking.
