Course overview

This course in organisational psychology is accredited by the Australian Psychology Accreditation Council and is designed to satisfy the fifth and sixth-year requirements of the Psychologists' Registration Board of Victoria for specialist registration as an organisational psychologist.It includes completion of coursework, a minor thesis, and supervised professional practice (125 days). Core units include: personnel assessment; recruitment selection and appraisal; workgroups, teams, training and development; multivariate statistics; contemporary organisational psychology, organisational change and development; and psychological interventions in organisations.

Entry requirements

Minimum entrance requirements

Students must have a bachelors degree with honours, postgraduate diploma or other Australian Psychology Accreditation Council accredited fourth-year in psychology of at least honours IIA level, or equivalent qualifications and experience. In addition to their academic record, students will be selected on the basis of personal suitability for organisational psychology, with factors such as referees reports and presentation at a selection interview considered. IELTS 6.5 with individual band scores required at 6.5 for Reading, 6.5 for Listening, 6.0 for Writing and 6.0 for Speaking; TOEFL 580 with a TWE score of at least 4.5; Computer-based TOEFL, a minimum score of 237 with an ER of at least 4.5; or an internet-based TOEFL, an overall score of 90 with at least 22 in the written section, and no section lower than 20.
