Marketing is a creative, dynamic and complex discipline that focuses on providing value to both organisations and consumers. Marketing is the process of planning and executing the conception, pricing, promotion and distribution of ideas, goods and services.
This course provides a thorough marketing education, developing an understanding of fundamental marketing principles and practices and a sound business base. It offers training in research, preparation of marketing plans and strategies, problem solving and team-building and management.
This qualification opens a wide variety of career options within many different types of organisations. Graduates are employed in marketing, management, sales, advertising, e-commerce, communications, market research, retailing and logistics. Graduates are keenly sought because of the immediate contribution they make due to their practical training and preparation for the demands of business today.

Students should normally achieve at least a 75% to 80% average to be considered for admission. Preference will be given to students whose prior studies are related to the course in which they are seeking admission. Programs that involve competency-based assessment without grades or marks will not meet the admission requirements. Note that the english and mathematics prerequisites for courses must be satisfied. === University === Applicants require a minimum of two units, although in normal circumstances this minimum alone is unlikely to be sufficient. Preference will be give to applicants whose prior studies are related to the course in which they are seeking admission. Students should normally achieve at least a 60% (credit) average to be considered for admission, although students who only complete the minimum number of units (two) may require higher grades. === Mathematics prerequisite === Applicants are required to have successfully completed VCE units 3 and 4, with a study score of at least 25 in mathematics (any), or their interstate/overseas equivalents, for admission to these courses.
