Master of Child Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy for 2009

Course overview

The aim of this course is to provide the professional skills required to undertake the assessment and psychotherapy of children, adolescents and parents who present with emotional and behavioural difficulties. The course is relevant to professionals working in the field and is primarily for clinicians who wish to work as Child Psychotherapists. Studies are also undertaken for candidates to understand the issues of research methodology in the field and to contribute to the body of knowledge. The course comprises six coursework units, which include seminars, case conferences, normal observations and clinical supervision. A thesis is also required.
