Bachelor of Accounting for 2010

Course overview

The course is a specialised accounting degree aimed at high-achieving Year 12 students. It is an accelerated course that offers substantial industry-based learning and offers all students industry-sponsored scholarships worth $8000 per annum. The program combines on-campus study with industry-based learning. Participants complete three 12 to 14 week industry placements for a total of 9.5 months work experience over three years.

Graduates can pursue positions as administrators, financial managers, financial accountants, management accountants, public accountants and managers. Employment opportunities may be found in private enterprise with large companies, consulting firms, multinational companies and financial institutions, as well as in government and not-for-profit organisations.
