Entry requirementsMinimum entrance requirementsTwo full years of an Arts degree or equivalent, including two units in studies of the individual and studies of society. Minimum entrance requirements for non-school-leaversTAFE TAFE graduates who have no other qualifications are not accepted into the Bachelor of Social Work. It is suggested that such applicants consider applying for the Bachelor of Arts degree (refer to the entry in this booklet) or for the Bachelor of Arts/Social Work. University Applicants need to have completed the equivalent of two years of an undergraduate degree, with units completed in studies of individual behaviour (such as psychology and behavioural studies) and of aspects of how society functions (such as sociology, anthropology, criminology, philosophy, political science). A unit of Australian Indigenous studies is required. Relevant work experience is also required. International Baccalaureate subject prerequisitesN/A Special application requirementsApplicants must go to the Bachelor of Social Work Application Formand fufil the extra requirements information: answers to course-specific social work questions (3 in total) and referee reports. Applications close on 31st October. International students must initially complete two years of full-time study in an arts degree or equivalent. Students must have undertaken two units in studies of the individual (for example, units in psychology, behavioural neuroscience or personality) and in studies of society (for example, units in sociology, politics, anthropology).
