Entry requirementsMinimum entrance requirementsMonash students who are enrolled in or who have been enrolled in the general BA or one of the specialised BA degrees or BA equivalents on any campus (except Berwick) qualify for admission to fourth year Honours provided that: 1.they have completed the normal requirements for that degree; 2.they have completed a major sequence (48 points or more over three years) within their chosen discipline(s) or interdisciplinary program. Students applying for Honours in interdisciplinary areas (such as Women's Studies and Gender Research, Comparative Literature and Cultural Studies, etc) may qualify for entry if they have completed an approved major in an area cognate with that for which they are applying, and if they have satisfied the other normal entry requirements; 3.they have obtained average grades of 70 per cent or better in units in the Honours discipline(s), to the value of 24 points at second and third year levels, 18 points of which must be at third year level. Students qualified to enter an Honours program must normally do so within five years of the date on which they completed their undergraduate studies.
