Applicants must ensure that they have met any specified prerequisite studies or their equivalent for their course of interest. Some faculties may have additional entry requirements such as interviews and folios. See the Victorian Tertiary Admissions Centre VTAC Guide or the Monash Course Finder for more details. See also:
Note: Applicants with completed degree studies should also see the Monash Postgraduate Course Guide. Overseas tertiary studiesInternational applicants (including holders of a New Zealand Permanent Resident Visa) should apply for admission to Monash University via Monash International. Australian citizens, New Zealand Citizens and holders of an Australian Permanent Resident Visa with complete or incomplete tertiary qualifications obtained overseas are assessed at the Victoria Tertiary Admission Centre (VTAC) to determine whether they meet the minimum tertiary entrance requirement. Results in a language other than English must be translated. For translations contact the Department of Immigration and Multicultural Affairs, Level 24, 2 Lonsdale Street, GPO Box 241E, Melbourne 3000. Telephone: 1300-654-151. Note: Applicants with completed degree studies should also see the Monash Postgraduate Course Guide. TAFE qualificationsSome undergraduate courses accept applicants with a TAFE (Technical and Further Education) qualification as meeting minimum entry requirements. Applicants must have completed an advanced certificate (Certificate IV or above) or the first year of a diploma to a satifactory standard. Applicants must also meet the university's minimum English entry requirements. Scored or graded results are required. Where applicants provide assessment results in the form of pass/fail or competent/non-competent only, they will not be considered. However, where graded or scored results are not available, candidates should provide additional scored information, which may enhance selection prospects. This could include: previous Year 12 results, results of other post-secondary studies, or, for entry to some courses, results in the Special Tertiary Admission Test (STAT). Applicants must ensure that they have met any specified prerequisite studies or their equivalent for their course of interest. It is therefore best to choose studies that relate to your course of interest or enable you to meet the course prerequisites. Some faculties may have additional entry requirements such as interviews and folios. See VTAC Guide or the Monash Course Finder for more details. See also
