Some programs are available without credit but Monash Abroad travel grants are not payable unless credit is received.

See the Monash short term international study program webpage for a list of the programs currently offered by all Monash faculties.
Entry requirements
To be eligible for an international study program you must:
- have an active enrolment in a Monash undergraduate or postgraduate coursework degree program.
- receive academic recognition for your participation (eg credit towards your Monash degree, subject assessment fulfilment or completion of a professional or clinical requirement).
- fulfil the requirements of the faculty arranging the international study program.
Other factors which are taken into account include:
- International students can participate in short term programs, but will not normally receive travel grants to undertake studies in their home country.
- Monash students at the campuses in Malaysia and South Africa can participate in short term programs where the organising faculty allows this and will be eligible for travel grants.
Faculty program coordinators select students to go on their international study programs. The Monash Abroad office determines whether participating students are eligible for a Monash Abroad travel grant.
Short term programs and my degree
While you overseas on the exchange program you will:
- remain enrolled at Monash and receive credit for your overseas study towards your Monash degree.
- pay your normal fees (HECS, Student Contribution Amount or International Student Course Fees) unless the program qualifies for an exemption.
