Visa: All students planning to study in France for more than 3 months must apply for a student visa before departure from Australia and apply for a residence permit after they arrive. Students travelling on Australian passports who are going to France on a reciprocal exchange program can lodge their application at the French Consulate General in Sydney by mail. Students travelling on any other passport must visit the Cosulate General in Sydney in person to lodge their application. Full details, and a lot of other useful information, can be found on the French Embassy website. Processing times for visas can be up to 3 months.

Other: Students must have completed 2 years (96 Monash credit points) of university study before the commencement of your exchange, including some history, sociology, law, economics, political science or international relations. Monash undergraduate students need an average of at least 65% with no fails or near passes to be eligible for entry to Sciences Po. Monash postgraduate students need to have completed an undergraduate degree in one of the above social science disciplines and achieved an average of at least 65% in the final two years of that degree. This is an elite French university in Paris which is ideal for political science, European studies , BA (Global), economics and similar students. It offers a good range of units in English at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
