  • Programs range in length from 2 – 8 weeks (most about 4 weeks) and usually take place during holiday periods
  • Unit(s) must fit into your Monash course as either a core unit or elective
  • Some programs are available without credit, but Monash Abroad travel grants are only payable when credit is received

The types of programs are varied and include study tours, practical placements, in-country language programs, cultural tours and intensive units.

Fees and financial assistance

  • While you overseas on the exchange program you will pay your normal fees (HECS, Student Contribution Amount or International Student Course Fees) unless the program qualifies for an exemption

  • If the faculty program is considered to be a full-time semester (ie 18 credit points or more) you may be eligible for the same level of travel grant as students who participate in semester-length exchange programs.
