The who, what and how of exchange to Malaysia

Who can get this incentive offer?

For both intercampus exchange and summer school students:

  • Australian or South African citizens or permanent residents (other Monash students can still go to Sunway and will receive a Monash Abroad travel grant)

For intercampus exchange students only:

  • Current undergraduate or postgraduate coursework students including eligible part-time or off-campus students willing to study full-time on-campus at Sunway
  • Students who have completed at least 48 credit points of their course 
    • Engineering students - 48 credit points for chemical, electrical, computer systems, mechanical or mechatronics engineering. 96 credit points for all other courses
    • Law students (single or double degree) must complete 72 credit points in total which must include 48 credit points of compulsory or quasi compulsory units from the Bachelor of Laws.  These 48 credit points of Law units can be completed at Monash or been given specified credit from another institution.
  • Credit average (60%) students

What can you study?

On intercampus exchange you can study any approved core units or electives. The Sunway campus offers units in:

How long for?

  • Intercampus exchange for Semester 1 or Semester 2 in 2010 (full-time load of 18 - 24 credit points per semester)
  • Summer School (10 weeks December 2009 - February 2010)
