FranceFurther information about a range of study opportunities and scholarships in France can be obtained from French Studies Program in the Faculty of Arts. Baudin Grants
The Baudin grants are offered by the Embassy of France to encourage Australian nationals to study for a semester of a full academic year at a French university at masters level (year 4 or 5 of university studies). The grant includes a bursary amount of approximately $A2,000 and also gives to the successful applicant the status of "French government grant-holder". Applicants must present a study project for the first or second year of a master program in France. They should prove that their knowledge of French will enable them to participate fully in this program. When submitting their applications, candidates will have to show evidence of an acceptance by a French university, which can include acceptance by a Monash exchange partner. English Language Teaching Assistants
The assistantship program is open to Australian nationals between 20 to 30 years of age. It enables the selected applicants to work from 6 to 9 months as English language assistants in metropolitan France, overseas departments or in New Caledonia. Successful candidates receive a monthly stipend. These assistantships are open to students who are competent in French but do not necessarily have teaching qualifications. Some Monash students have combined as assistantship with an exchange at a French university. ENA ScholarshipsNot offered in 2006/07, see French Embassy website for further information. |
