Financial information for the international exchange programFinancial informationFinancing your trip could be easier than you think. Most students who participate in study abroad programs receive travel grants from the University. Many are also eligible for a range of other loans, scholarships and grants. Current students on all Monash campuses, including Malaysia and South Africa and off-shore and distance education students, are eligible to participate and receive financial assistance. No additional tuition feesUnder the exchange arrangements Monash has with universities all over the world, you will not have to pay additional tuition fees. All you pay is your normal HECS or Monash tuition fees. Living and travel costs are your responsibilityYou will have to pay your overseas travel and living costs. These vary from country to country and depend on the length of time you plan to be away but you will need enough to cover your airfare, travel insurance, visas, accommodation, food, sightseeing, entertainment and any travel you plan to do. These costs range from as little as $2,000 in total for short term international study programs to at least $2,000 per month - more in some high cost countries - for full semester exchanges.
