Peer Mentor Program

This program helps new international students settle into their studies. Current students act as mentors and guide new students through the first six weeks of their course. Social events and seminars are part of the program.

New international students (become a mentee)

• Be matched with a mentor who can answer your questions and give you advice
• Learn more about Australian culture
• Make new friends

You will need to meet with your mentor for an hour each week over 6 weeks.

Parkville students do not need to apply to be a mentee. For more information, see Parkville Mentor Program

Become a mentor

• Enjoy the satisfaction of helping others
• Get skills in team work and communication
• Train and get a certificate in leadership and cultural awareness

You must have finished your first semester and have time to attend training dates, group meetings and social functions.

Applications for Semester 1 have now closed. Applications will reopen in May for Semester 2.
