I am unable to participate in the residential component of the Vice-Chancellor's Ancora Imparo Student Leadership Program. Will I be able to complete the Program?

Students must attend all eight sessions and the residential to be eligible to graduate from the Program. Extenuating circumstances, e.g. family bereavement or ill health will be accepted.

Are Monash College students are eligible for participation?

Yes. Monash College students are eligible for the Program and should apply during their final year at the College.

Are part-time students eligible to apply for the Program?

Part-time students are eligible to apply provided they have completed at least one year (part-time) at Monash. Part-time students who have completed two years part-time at Monash are also eligible to apply.

Am I eligible for the Student Leadership Program if I am a second or third year student?

Unfortunately the Program is only open to students who are currently completing first year subjects. If you are still very interested in participating in a leadership program I would recommend that you contact Leadership Victoria or Community Leadership Australia for more information.

I am a first year student studying at postgraduate level. Am I eligible to apply?

No. Postgraduate students are ineligible for the Program. However you may be interested in The General Sir John Monash Awards. More information can be found at the Monash awards website.

Are exchange students eligible to apply?

Exchange students to Monash are eligible for the Program provided they will be at the university next year.

I am an overseas student. Is it possible to nominate my teachers overseas as referees?

Referees residing outside Australia are acceptable.

What will my referees will be expected to produce should they be contacted?

Referees will be contacted in writing requesting a confidential letter of reference.

Am I able to obtain a copy of my referee reports?

No. These letters have been requested in confidence and are therefore not available for dissemination.

Can University tutors or lecturers act as referees?

Yes. University staff are able to be nominated as referees.

What evidence of results of previous study do we need to submit with the application form?

A photocopy of your VCE results or a copy of any available university results will suffice.

Will you be able to return my application if I am not successful?

No. Applications are not returned. For this reason you should only include copies of any academic transcripts or school results.

I realise that the application window has closed, but is there any possibility of accepting late applications?

Late applications will not be accepted.
