Restricted design elements for top-level Monash pages

In addition to the web guideline that states websites should "not copy the design of the Monash University home page", the following design elements are not to be used on any university web pages other than the home page and selected top-level sites (such as key student recruitment sites and country landing pages, ie Monash South Africa and Sunway campus, Malaysia).

Promotional campaign and quick links column

The promotional campaign and quick links column appearing at the far left of the page should not be used.

Do not replicate the colour, curved shape at base, curved image style, or size dimensions of the column and do not include quick links at the top of the column.

Banner image with positioning text

The new home page and selected top-level pages use a slightly different banner image (top right, in page header) to all other Monash pages. This banner includes positioning text and links through to relevant web sites. Use of this promotional banner type is restricted to the home page and selected top-level sites.

All other faculties, centres, departments and divisions must continue to use the faded banner image without text as outlined in the Web Style Guide.

Personal web pages

Personal web pages must not use or replicate these elements or any elements of the Monash web templates.
