The School offers the following postgraduate degrees:

Monash's new enhanced PhD in the Biological Sciences

  • Work with internationally-recognised researchers on a wide range of high-impact topics from genes to ecosystems to landscapes.
  • Training activities built into your PhD. Improve the quality and impact of your research, while gaining skills desired by employers in industry, academia, government and the community sector.
  • Skills training available in Research Integrity, Project Management, Scientific Communication, Statistics, Computer Programming for Research, Phylogenetics, Bioinformatics, and Writing and Publishing in the Sciences.

All starting from January 1, 2013.

Applications for PhD scholarships are open now, closing 31 October 2012 at 5pm (EDT). University scholarships available ($24,653 per annum), with additional top-up awards (up to $30,000) and relocation allowances ($3,000) for the best domestic students (including permanent residents and New Zealand citizens).
