ResearchMaster (RM) RMENET Research Outputs (Publications) - Refresher

Target group:

Research administrative staff at school/departmental or faculty level who are required to enter research publications data for their work unit - and who already have attended a demonstration of and experience using ResearchMaster's RMENET Research Outputs (Publications) Web Application.

Group size:Maximum 12
Level 2 program:
  • Prior experience using ResearchMaster's RMENET Research Outputs (Publications) Web Application to enter publications data is mandatory, as are existing RM training and RM production databse user accounts
  • If your password has recently been reset, refresher training is required prior to production database password re-issue

Overview

The focus of this workshop is to provide existing users of ResearchMaster's RMENET Research Outputs (Publications) Web Application with the opportunity to identify aspects of the publications data entry process that may benefit from revision - and to consolidate understanding and practices in those areas. in addition, the refresher course promotes the importance of keeping up-to-date with changes to data entry practice in light of the reporting requirements of ERA (Excellence in Research for Australia).

Intended Outcomes

  • clarification of identified "trouble spots" and areas of ambiguity in performing publications module data entry
  • understanding of how changes to business process requirements have impacted data entry methods
  • a high degree of accuracy in the entry of publications data is obtained
  • conformance with style guide requirements to ensure consistency of entered data

Course Content

On completion of this workshop participants will:

  • have a solid understanding of where problems can occur whilst performing publications module data entry
  • be able to avoid common pitfalls
  • have current knowledge of the data entry rules outlined in the data entry style guide released jointly by Monash Research Office and ERA Team
