At the time of application the CIA will normally have one of the following:

  • Australian or New Zealand citizenship, or
  • Australian permanent resident status.

It is also required that the CIA be based in Australia for the duration of the grant.
In exceptional circumstances, NHMRC's CEO may waive the residency eligibility requirement. To apply for this waiver the CIA must submit a one page statement to support their position as CIA, plus a letter of support from the Administering Institution (Monash Research Office) to NHMRC's CEO through the Monash Research Office by Tuesday 15 May.

Overview

The NHMRC Partnerships for Better Health - Projects (Partnership Projects) will help create partnerships among decision makers, policy makers, managers, clinicians and researchers. It will provide funding and support to create new opportunities for researchers and policy makers to work together, to define research questions, undertake research, interpret and implement the findings.
