Your application will be checked on-line by the Monash Research Office and feedback provided by email.

Applications for funding should be via RGMS, taking into consideration the Significant Changes for the 2012 round on Page 4 of the Funding Rules (pdf 325kb) document and the Advice and Instructions to Applicants (pdf 405kb)

The Monash Research Office will require a hard copy of the final application and any attachments for our records.

Scheme Aim and Objectives

The Centres of Research Excellence (CRE) Scheme replaces the Centres for Clinical Research Excellence Scheme and the Capacity Building Grants in Population Health and Health Services Research.

CREs will provide support for teams of researchers to pursue collaborative research and develop capacity in clinical, population health and health services research. Funding will support three schemes:

CREs in Clinical Research;
CREs in Population Health Research; and
CREs in Health Services Research.

Funding will be awarded for a period of five years. Funding will not exceed $2.5 million for each Centre.
