Margaret Clayton Women in Research Postdoctoral Fellowship 2010
The Faculty of Science has established the Margaret Clayton - Women in Research Postdoctoral Fellowship to attract female early career researchers with outstanding potential to undertake research in areas of identified faculty research strength or emerging research potential. One award only will be made in 2009 (for 2010).
The fellowship will be funded for up to three years, with the second and third year of funding being confirmed following consideration of a report submitted by 1 November in 2010 and 2011 detailing the progress of the research during that year.
The closing date for applications is close of business on Friday, 3 July 2009. Late or incomplete applications will not be accepted. The full application is the covering letter, application form plus the additional pages outlining the project details. Referee reports must also be received by the closing date. An electronic copy of the application and referee reports must be emailed to Mr Tom Keegan; tom.keegan@sci.monash.edu.au Paper copies are also required, please refer to the weblink for further details.

Vice-Chancellor's Award for Excellence in Innovation and Collaboration in Research With Industry
In order to recognise, reward and encourage excellence in Innovation and Collaboration in Research with Industry at Monash University, the Vice-Chancellor is pleased to introduce the Monash University Vice-Chancellor's Award for Excellence in Innovation and Collaboration in Research with Industry. The Award will recognise research excellence by researchers who are collaborating with Industry.
Each award will consist of a medallion and a grant of $10,000 to be used at the discretion of the award winner to further his or her research interests (see Terms of the Award).

Vice-Chancellor's Award for Excellence in Research by Early Career Researchers
In order to recognise, reward and encourage excellent early career researchers (ECR) at Monash University, the Vice-Chancellor is pleased to introduce the Monash University Vice-Chancellor's Award for Excellence in Research by Early Career Researchers. The Award will recognise research excellence by early career researchers who are within ten years of the start of their research careers when they submit their applications.
Each award will consist of a medallion and a grant of $10,000 to be used at the discretion of the award winner to further his or her research interests (see Terms of the Award).

Monash Fellowships 2010
Monash University has established the Monash Fellowships to attract internationally competitive researchers to undertake research of national and international significance (including young researchers from overseas with great future potential) and provide them with the best possible environment to establish a productive laboratory or other research team and to foster collaborations.
The Fellowships will be in the form of a direct appointment in 2010 following a Monash-conducted competitive process (open to researchers from outside Monash University only). The Fellowships are tenable only at Monash University and it is expected that most of the time will be spent at the relevant Monash department/centre.

Collaborative Research Support Scheme
Monash University and the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO) announce Round 5 of the Collaborative Research Support Scheme (CRSS) which is jointly funded by the two organisations. The scheme provides seed funding only, not full project support. The maximum grant available under this scheme is $50,000. Over the history of this scheme, the number of grants awarded has ranged between 3 - 6.
