Fields of Research (FOR) and Socio-Economic Objectives (SEO) Classification Codes

On the 31st of March 2008, the new Australian and New Zealand Standard Research Classification (ANZSRC), 2008 specification was released by the ABS, effectively replacing the RFCD/SEO classifications.

The new specification for the classification of research outputs (grants, publications, etc.) significantly expands upon - and is numerically different from the old. Enterprise systems that record this information (e.g. ResearchMaster) have now been updated to accept the new specification's codes.
