The Linkage Infrastructure, Equipment and Facilities scheme fosters collaboration through its support of the cooperative use of national and international research facilities. The scheme provides funding for large-scale cooperative initiatives so that expensive infrastructure, equipment and facilities can be shared by researchers in partnered organisations. However, the ARC may fund single-organisation proposals in some circumstances.

It is critical that you read through the Funding Rules and Instructions to Applicants to understand the application process and requirements.

LIEF consists of a 2-stage process. Stage 1 is submission of an Expression of Interest for approval by the DVC(R).

Note: An EoI is required to be lodged for all proposals, regardless of intended lead (administering) organisation. 5. Getting started in RMS

Acces the RMS login page here.

If you have an existing GAMS account click the Reset password link on the RMS login page and follow the prompts. You will be asked for a username, this is the same as your GAMS ID with all letters capitalised. Once you have entered a valid username you will receive an email with a link to reset your password. Follow the instructions in the email and you will be able to login.

If you do not have an existing GAMS account click the Request new account link on the RMS login page and follow the prompts. You will be asked to enter a RMS User Id; this is not a pre-existing ID, you are being asked to set your own username which you will use in future to log on to RMS. A username is not the same as a Person ID which is the unique identifier that RMS will create. Outcomes of your User Account request will be emailed to you.

Selecting Monash University as the 'Organisation that will administer this RMS account' will allow the Monash Research Office to view and edit details of that personnel account. PIs who are not affiliated with another Australian University, should select Monash University.

Note: ALL GAMS accounts have now been migrated to RMS.
