An update on opportunities for research funding in Europe
Monash University will host a day of information sessions presented by the Forum for European-Australian Science and Technology Cooperation (FEAST) on Wednesday, 18 November 2009.
FEAST is an organisation established by the Australian Government and the European Union to highlight, promote, and facilitate research collaboration between their respective communities. Expert presentations on the day will discuss Framework Programme Schemes (FP7) and other funding opportunities, and explore lessons and best practices for Australian researchers wishing to collaborate with their European counterparts.
The Info Day will:
- provide an overview of the structure of the European research systems;
- describe the current state of collaborative activity;
- identify major opportunities for collaboration;
- discuss financial support for collaborative research; and
- highlight some successful outcomes and the resulting best practices.
An overview of the sessions for the day is provided below. The Info Day is free to attend, staff may select which sessions they would like to attend when registering.
