Genetically Modified Animal Use

Animal Ethics Committee approval is required for all animal use. Genetically modified animals are subject to additional monitoring and reporting requirements. A Phenotype Report is required for each genetically modified animal breed or strain proposed to be generated, bred or used in a project.

MMCA AEC requires an additional report for projects that generate transgenic or knock out mice using SOP #2000/41.2 or SOP #2000/42.2
