Ongoing monitoring of Approved Projects

The AEC will monitor the project by means of:

• Laboratory & animal facility inspections
  - Cage labeling requirements (rtf 9kb)
  
  
• Audit of laboratory records
  -  Principles of Record Keeping for Investigators - Bureau Animal Welfare (rtf 26kb)
  
  
• Annual Reporting on each project (end of each calendar year)
  
  
• Report on Completion of project (within 6 months of project completion)
  
  
  
• Monitoring Sheets
  - for assessing and recording animal welfare
  
  
• Reporting on Breeding of Specified animals (including Genetically modified animals)
  
  
• Other requirements as set by the AEC.
