The Biological Science Animal Ethics Committee have developed their own shortened version of the Application Form to use for studies which involve observation of wildlife in their natural environment.
Application for In Vivo Production of Monoclonal Antibodies (doc 204 kb)
This application can only be submitted with respect to projects where approval for production of monoclonal antibodies using invitro techniques has already been granted, and where these techniques have subsequently been proven to be unsuccessful.
Application for Ministerial Approval to conduct scientific procedures involving Death As An Endpoint (doc 41kb)
This application can only be used after the AEC has approved an Application for scientific use of animals prepared on the standard form. This form relates only to scientific procedures "where the death of the animal is a deliberate measure of the procedure and there will be no intervention to kill the animal humanely before death occurs in the course of the procedure".
AMREP AEC Applications
The Alfred Medical Research and Education Precinct (AMREP) incorporates the Baker Research Institute, the Macfarlane Burnet Centre for Medical Research, Alfred Hospital, and the Monash University Central and Eastern Clinical School (Alfred Hospital).
Monash University staff from the Central and Eastern Clinical School who intend to use animals for research or teaching are required to submit their application to this Animal Ethics Committee using the on-line ATHOS System.
