About Monash Transport

Few universities in the world have capabilities to match the depth and diversity of transport related activities at Monash University. From transport policy and regulation, safety, engineering and planning through to innovative approaches to the design, maintenance and rehabilitation of transport infrastructure and vehicles, Monash has the transport field covered.

Monash Transport provides front door access to the transport research and education services available at Monash and provides the thematic focus for transport in the Monash Sustainability Institute. The excellence of those research and education services has been recognised by recent awards. Professor Graham Currie was honoured by the Australia and New Zealand Division of the Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE) through presentation of the 2007 award for Contribution to the Transportation Profession.

Monash Transport addresses the social, economic and environmental challenges associated with the development of a sustainable transport system for the movement of people and freight. By utilising research teams that cross traditional discipline boundaries, Monash Transport develops relevant solutions, and shares sustainable transport knowledge with the community.
