The International WaterCentre (IWC) is a joint venture of four leading Australian universities - Monash University, The University of Queensland, Griffith University and the University of Western Australia. The International WaterCentre head office is located in Brisbane.
The IWC provides education and training, applied research and expert services to promote a whole-of-water cycle approach and develop capacity in integrated water resource management around the world.
The IWC provides postgraduate degrees in integrated water management by full time study and part time, distance education. The postgraduate programs provide an integrating perspective on the social, political, environmental and technical aspects of water management. They are designed and taught by academics from our four member universities and draw on a broad spectrum of disciplines.
The IWC provides research services, expertise, strategic advice and project management across all aspects of the water cycle. The research and consultancy expertise available through its national and international knowledge networks and partnerships gives the IWC a unique capacity to meet client service needs in integrated water management.
Monash South Africa hosts an IWC node that provides a masters degree by research in integrated water management, and undertakes research and consultancy services oriented to the African context.
