Workshop: Extending Successful Community-Based Forest Management in response to Climate Change

Aquarius Boutique Hotel
Palangka Raya, Central Kalimantan, Indonesia
Wednesday 22 February and Thursday 23 February, 2012

This workshop will bring together researchers and policy makers from Australia, Cambodia, India, Indonesia, and Viet Nam.

Papers relevant to the theme, which will align to current activity relating to Reduced Deforestation and Forest Degradation (REDD+), with an emphasis on community level impacts in response to climate change, will be presented.

The main aim is to compare and evaluate community-based forest management across participating countries, with a view to identifying sustainable development strategies consistent with low carbon growth, and alternative livelihoods for forest-dependent communities.
