Paul works in the School of Biological Sciences at Monash University as a Reader
Paul’s research areas of interest are:
The Molecular Ecology Research Group comprises the research groups of Paul Sunnucks and Andrea Taylor. We share facilities and procedures, have strongly overlapping research interests and group meetings: www.biolsci.monash.edu.au/research/merg/index.html
Paul's research mainly concerns how the population biology, ecology and evolution of Australian native wildlife is impacted by human-induced changes to environments. He works with many excellent collaborators on a broad array of natural animal systems, spanning many vertebrate and invertebrate groups. Research methods include ecological genomics, molecular ecology, field biology. Research systems include bush birds, freshwater fish, arid zone fish and invertebrates, log-dwelling forest invertebrates, mammals.
