Alice Owen is a Senior Research Fellow in the Centre of Cardiovascular Research and Education in Therapeutics in the School of Public Health & Preventive Medicine. Her areas of research interest include the cardiovascular effects of long chain omega-3 fats, epidemiological modelling and community strategies for blood pressure control. Alice is also a senior investigator of the ASPREE Longitudinal Study of Older Persons (ALSOP), a sub-study of the ASPREE clinical trial of aspirin.
Alice is a physiologist who undertook her PhD through the University of Adelaide, based at the (then) CSIRO Division of Human Nutrition. She undertook a post-doctoral fellowship at the ARC Key Centre for Smart Foods at the University of Wollongong prior to joining Monash.
