Prof Leon Bach - Researcher Profile

Biography

Leon works in the Faculty of Medicine, Nursing & Health Sciences at Monash University as a Professor. He is Deputy Director of the Department of Endocrinology and Diabetes at the Alfred. He currently serves on the Executive of the International Society of Endocrinology and is a past President of the Endocrine Society of Australia. His basic research interests are (i) the insulin-like growth factor system, and (ii) mechanisms of kidney damage in diabetes. His clinical research interests centre around diabetes in transplant patients and inpatient management of diabetes.
