Dianne Vella-Brodrick (PhD) is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Psychology and Psychiatry at Monash University, Australia. She has coordinated and developed numerous psychology units and programs including the Masters in Psychology (Health) program. She is currently the Psychology Degrees Convenor. Dianne is a member of the Australian Psychological Society and College of Health Psychologists. She is the Secretary of the International Positive Psychology Association and a co-founder and Co-Director of the Emotion and Well-being Unit at Monash University. She also founded the Positive Psychology Network at Monash University. Dianne is also an Editor in Chief of the Psychology of Well-Being: Theory, Research and Practice journal and has been a Director of two Australian positive psychology conferences in 2008 and 2010. She has published widely, is a regular presenter at conferences and has received close to $1,000,000 worth of research funding. Dianne’s research interests include the development and evaluation of well-being programs particularly for adolescents, positive education and workplace well-being. She also has an interest in measurement issues related to well-being. Her ultimate aim is to influence policy to include well-being factors as indicators of national prosperity.
