Ratbek successfully completed his PhD degree in 2008 and joined the department, as a lecturer. His research interests range from the economics of corruption to financial economics and macroeconomics. Previously, Ratbek also worked as a consultant for the Asian Development Bank, BearingPoint, and IFO Institute, in which role he advised government agencies on different aspects of economic development and regulation reforms, as well as tax policy.
