Janto is a Lecturer in the Department of Accounting and Finance at Monash University.
Janto joined the Department of Accounting and Finance in January 2008. Prior to joining Monash University, Janto was a lecturer in the School of Accounting, Economics and Finance at Deakin University. His research papers can be found in the following refereed journals: Industrial Relations: A Journal of Economy and Society; The British Accounting Review; Corporate Governance: An International Review; Accounting and Finance; and Accounting Education: An International Journal.
Janto's research interests include earnings management (earnings quality), share options, share-buybacks, mandatory (voluntary) information disclosures, initial public offerings, underpricing (IPO discount), earnings forecast, corporate governance in non-family and family firms, intangible assets (e.g., goodwill), directors’ remuneration and performance, and meta-analysis.
