Biography

Aldonio Ferreira is a senior lecturer in the Department of Accounting and Finance.

Aldonio has joined the department in 2004. Prior to that, he worked at the University of Porto and the Portuguese Catholic University. He has also worked in the banking sector in a Credit Risk Analyst role and as a freelancer in consultancy to SMEs. Aldonio completed his PhD in Accounting and Finance at Lancaster University in 2002.

 

 

Research & Supervision Interests

    Aldonio's main research interests are in the area of performance management, management control, and management accounting.  The behaviour implications of performance management systems as well as the links to strategy are key aspects of interest. Aldonio also has a research interests in the study of not-for-profit organisations, environmental issues and sustainability.
