Biography

Megan works in the Faculty of Medicine, Nursing & Health Sciences at Monash University as a Research Fellow.

Dr Crane obtained her PhD through the Dept. of Medicine at Monash Institute of Medical Research under the supervision of Prof. David DeKretser and Assoc. Prof. Mark Hedger in 2007. She has since been employed in the HIV and HBV immunopathogenesis Laboratory in the Dept. of Infectious Diseases under Prof. Sharon Lewin's supervision. In 2010 Dr Crane was awarded the highly prestigious Mathilde Krim Research Fellowship in Basic Biomedical Research by the philanthropic AIDS charity the American Aids Foundation (amFAR). Dr Crane is a named invesitgator on a large NHMRC grant "LPS, Immune activation and Liver disease in HIV and HBV co-infection". She has several peer review publications in the field of HIV-Hepatitis B co-infection.
