Gloria Quiñones is a lecturer in the Faculty of Education, Monash University, Australia and teaches undergraduate and post-graduate students. She was born in Monterrey, N.L., Mexico where she was an early childhood teacher. She has researched family and teaching practices, children’s play, science and technology in early childhood and primary education settings in Mexico and Australia. Gloria uses cultural-historical perspective to understand emotion, creativity and imagination in children’s experiences in learning and development. Her PhD focuses on theorizing emotions from a cultural historical perspective on how children learn and develop from perezhivanie/vivencia living intense momentitos in children's everyday life.
