Marnie Connolly is a Lecturer/Clinical Educator with the East Gippsland Regional Clinical (EGRCS) Bairnsdale Campus. In this role Marnie oversees the implementation of the Yr. 1 -5 academic MBBS curriculum and clinical placements at the Bairnsdale campus. Her interests in longitudinal integrated clinical placements lead her to complete a Master thesis on the impact of students undertaking longitudinal placements on their clinical supervisors. In addition to this role Marnie manages the simulation suite and actively involved with simulation as a teaching modality.
Marnie has over 25 year experience working in Critical Care Units and teaching Undergraduate, Graduate and Post Graduate nursing students. Through these roles Marnie has supervised and mentored many students of differing healthcare disciplines within the clinical environment. Marnie maintains a clinical role as Clinical Nurse Specialist at Central Gippsland Hospital. Her interest in resuscitation education and training has lead Marnie to be a Basic and Advanced Life Support Instructor.
Furthermore her interest in education and simulation has lead Marnie to be more recently enthusiastically involved in interprofessional education sessions with the Schools of Nursing and Medicine at the EGRCS.
