Anthony Del Monaco is a research fellow and data manager in the Monash Centre for Occupational and Environmental Health. He has completed a Graduate Diploma in Computing at Monash University in 1993 and a Masters of Public Health at Melbourne University majoring in Epidemiology and Biostatistics in 2000, which means he can provide a fairly unique combination of data management and epidemiological skills.
Anthony joined MonCOEH in 2003 and has worked on a variety of projects, mainly focussing on cancer and mortality in occupational cohorts such as the aluminium industry, oil and petroleum industry, lead workers, agricultural workers and firefighters. He also works on studies investigating occupational respiratory health, as well as the health effects of environmental air pollution. His research interests focus on using population based disease or event registries to investigate occupational health outcomes.
