I have now retired from full-time service at Monash. I continue to work here as an Adjunct Professor.
I worked at Monash University in the early days, starting in 1972, as a Senior Teaching Fellow in Computer Science and completed my PhD here in 1976. Subsequently, I was promoted to Lecturer and then Senior Lecturer and Deputy Head of the Department. After fourteen years at Monash, I moved to James Cook University in 1986 as Foundation Professor and Head to establish a new Department of Computer Science. I moved to Bond University as Dean of the School of Information Technology in 1998 and returned to Monash in October 2002. My research interests include biometrics (handwritten signature verification, keyboard dynamics, fingerprints, iris), data mining, information privacy and computer science education.
