Biography

Majid works in the Faculty of Engineering at Monash University as the director of Institute of Transport studies.

Majid is the director of Institute of Transport Studies (the National Key Centre in Transportation Studies) at Monash University. He has served on several international committees, the ADB30 Network Modelling, AHB45 traffic flow theory, and Emergency Evacuation Task Force of the US Transportation Research Board. He is the founder and co-chair of the crowd dynamic modelling and simulation subcommittee of TRB, AHB45(2). He is the author/co-author of over 160 refereed publications in top transportation journals, various conference and symposia proceedings. He serves on the editorial board of three eminent journals (Transportation research part C, Journal of Advanced transportation and Transportmetrica.
