Biography

Julie works in the Faculty of Business & Economics at Monash University as Professor of Management (Organisation Studies). She is also the Discipline Group Leader for one of the Department's four disciplines: Government, Leadership and Organisation ('GLO').  Within the University Julie sits on several committees including Faculty Board, Faculty Associate Professor Promotions Committee, Department Executive and other department-level committees.  Externally, Julie is an elected executive member of the US Academy of Management's Organization Development and Change Division (5 year Division Chair track).  She was a board member of the Australia and New Zealand Academy of Management (ANZAM) from 2010 to 2012 and remains a professional member.

Julie has previously worked at Deakin (2007-2011), RMIT (2003-2007) and Monash (1998-2002) Universities and at the University of Melbourne (1993-1997).

 

 

Research Interests

 

 

 Interpretive and critical studies of organisational change and sustainability; Organisation theory and research metatheory; Organisation development and resistance dynamics; Organizational aesthetics and identity politics; Occupational identity and professionalisation.
