Tari’s research investigates how to support evidence-based decision-making, and she is currently involved in CIPHER (the Centre for Informing Policy in Health with Evidence from Research) exploring how to support use of research by policymakers; and SEA-URCHIN (South East Asia – Using Research for Change in Hospital-acquired Infection in Neonates) investigating whether implementation of research evidence can improve prevention and treatment of neonatal infection in nine hospitals in South East Asia.
Tari’s PhD work examined how best to provide support evidence-based decision-making in areas of high need, including summaries of systematic reviews in the aftermath of natural disasters, and clinical guidelines in maternal and neonatal health in low and middle income countries.
Before joining the ACC, Tari worked at the National Trauma Research Institute where she managed the Global Evidence Mapping Initiative. Tari was also previously a Senior Consultant at the Centre for Clinical Effectiveness, Southern Health where she managed the Evidence Service which provided systematic reviews to support decision-making.
