Biography

Shane works in the School of Physics at Monash University as a Research Assistant

 

 

Shane’s research areas of interest are:

 

  • Shane is part of Professor Jesson's group and studies nanoscale surface dynamics via low energy electron microscopy (LEEM). He primarily focuses on understanding and interpreting the often non-intuitive image contrast produced in LEEM and related modes (MEM, PEEM), developing methodologies to simulate and explain image features such as caustics. This enables LEEM techniques to be better employed for studying nanoscale surfaces.
