Biography

Mia is a Campus Coordinator and Lecturer for the Diploma of Tertiary Studies (DoTS). 

Mia is a Monash graduate, with a PhD in two disciplinary fields: History and Film and Television Studies. She also completed a Masters and her undergraduate studies with Monash.

For over a decade Mia has lectured and tutored in a variety of disciplines, as well as working as a senior administrator in student services.

Research & Supervision Interests

    My research focuses on the field of transition, pathways and access and equity issues in higher education.

    Additionally, I research in a number of areas connected with cultural history, particularly the interdisciplinary field of history and film. 

    I am currently working with the DoTS team on a number of research projects to do with transition and pathways.

    I am also working on a book based on my doctoral thesis: 'out of synch: screened history'.
