Biography

Dr Y. Hong received her Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering and telecommunications from University of New South Wales (Sydney, Australia) in Oct. 2004. She is an Associate Editor of European Transactions on Telecommunications. She is a Senior Member of IEEE, a member of Communication Theory and Information Theory soceities. She is Technical Program Committee Chair of the 2011 Australian Communication Theory workshop at Melbourne; Publicity Chair of 2009 IEEE Information Theory Workshop at Taromina, Sicily, Italy; and Technical Program Committee Members of many IEEE leading conferences. She was awarded the NICTA-ACoRN Earlier Career Researcher award for a paper coauthored with A. Grant and E. Viterbo, at AUSCTW 2007.
